Michele Carey, born Michele Lee Henson, was the daughter of Stanley Willard Henson, Jr, an American physician, and Thelma B. Burnell Henson. Michele Carey, or Michele Lee Henson, was first born February 26, 1942 in Annapolis, Maryland, United States of America. While still a teenager she was a pro at the piano. When she was only 13 years old she took home an international prize at the Chicago Music Festival. The family settled within Fort Collins, Colorado with her family and had her high school education at Fort Collins High School where she completed her studies in the year 1960.
