Kyra M. Sedgwick (born Kyra Minturn) is a popular American actor and TV host. She has a large following throughout America as well as around the globe because of her character as lead actress in the TV series 'The Closer.' Sedgwick was a lover of art, Broadway and performing since when she was 12 years old. Her mother was a huge passion for the Broadway and brought her into it. Sedgwick was offered her first professional part at the age of 16 on the television show "Another world".
