Kellie Martin is an American film and television actress best known for her roles as Christy Huddleston on the historical drama'Christy The 'Christy'' series, Rebecca Thatcher in the Family drama 'Life Goes on The Life Goes On', and Lucy Knight in the medical drama "ER". Other notable roles include her title character in The Hailey Dean Mystery series. Born to a department-store buyer as well as a teacher in kindergarten, Martin was able to begin her career in acting at the young age of seven, when her aunt who was the nanny of Michael Landon's children, assisted her in landing her a role in the 1982 series 'Father Murphy'. After graduating from Yale University, she took acting more seriously and landed substantial roles, both on the small and the large screen. Apart from being an actor, Martin is also a talented photographer, as well as a dancer. Her sister, who died from Lupus aged 19 inspired her to become the Lupus the national spokesperson.
